Research Center for Agriculture under Climate Change | Volcani Institute
The Research Center for Agriculture under Climate Change at the Volcani Institute advances innovative research focused on strengthening the resilience of Israeli agriculture under changing climate conditions. The center operates advanced climate-controlled research infrastructure, including greenhouses, growth chambers, and mobile field platforms, while integrating precision agriculture and environmental monitoring technologies to support interdisciplinary, climate-smart agricultural research.

In light of the growing impact of regional climate change on the agricultural sectors in Israel, along with an increase in population size, a preparedness strategy is required to cope with the changing climate in order to ensure continued sustainable productivity in the agricultural sectors in Israel.
In broad terms, the goal of this strategy is to preserve the productivity of Israeli farmers and improve the nutritional security of the Israeli population under changing climate conditions.
