Developing solutions for agriculture in changing climate conditions in Israel
Thank you to everyone who attended the center's opening conference!
The Research Center for Agriculture under Climate Change at the Volcani Institute was established with the aim of providing advanced research infrastructure for promoting research into adapting the plant and animal farming industries in Israel to the changing climate, both through cultivation and agrotechnical means.
The center manages an integrated system of climate-controlled greenhouses and mobile infrastructure for use in the orchard and in the field, while integrating innovative technologies.

About the Center

In light of the growing impact of regional climate change on the agricultural sectors in Israel, along with an increase in population size, a preparedness strategy is required to cope with the changing climate in order to ensure continued sustainable productivity in the agricultural sectors in Israel.
In broad terms, the goal of this strategy is to preserve the productivity of Israeli farmers and improve the nutritional security of the Israeli population under changing climate conditions.
